Opportunistic Politics

From print media to electronic and social media, all are painted with JNU issues, an obvious news of the month. In fact this has given a new job to the media people to flash this news in a dramatic way for which they are well known. Debate on "judicial killing" of Afzal Guru by the JNU students has triggered the controversy. The Constitution of India has bestowed upon us with fundamental rights. One of them is right to freedom, which includes freedom of speech, expression (Article 19), we exercise this right more and misuse it even more.  Why people make such arguable comments and they know that such comments will cause uproar in country. Perhaps this is what democracy called (to express oneself in easiest way, simply called as chutzpah!). Seemingly, they do this on purpose, few to express themselves and few to show themselves in top headlines. And few make it to opportunistic politics, they hit the iron when it is hot. Our so called renowned political leaders unleash their intellects. This is how blame game starts, everyone plays in defensive mode and no one take responsibility for anything. Any other issues will be converted into political issue. Such types of incidents can often be seen when any election (like assembly polls) is nearby.
One of the most eligible bachelor of our country and 'youth' icon, is well versed in opportunistic politics. Twice he went to show his solidarity and empathy to students of University of Hyderabad and made no delay in visiting JNU campus. Hopefully, he would have learnt something from the incident which happen in a college of Bangalore.
Since past six months India has been a place of happening events. Last month January, was superheated with the suicide of a Phd scholar of University of Hyderabad. How this case was conflagrated? Obviously, they again played the communal card, by invoking Dalit suppression and flagging off Hindutva Agenda. On one hand they talk about equality and egalitarian society and on other hand they discriminate society by pointing them as Dalit. This is wild farcical. Even some people consider PM as a culprit for such incidents so he should make an apology to the whole nation. And here, logic and rationality took a back seat.
Dadri lynching on 28th Sep, 2015 shared the most of the headlines of October month. This event was artistically given the colour of communalism and a new mutant virus came to infect our tolerant citizens who accused growing intolerance in country. They returned their awards which were felicitated to them for their excellency in particular field by GoI.  Following this, some even had planned to evacuate their own motherland.  It is worth to note that all these events took place right before the Bihar assembly polls and after that all issues were shrouded afterwards. Again an example of opportunistic politics.
All these cases are serving as varied agendas to Parliament logjam and not allowing to pass important bills like GST. Now the Budget Session is on target after successful disruption of Monsoon and Winter Sessions. If any issue arises it will give invitation to opportunistic politics, political war will start. Being a rhetoric will serve the purpose. These political leaders don't solve any problem instead they twist and turn them. With passing of time these issues will fade and new issues will come to debate. The upshot of such opportunistic politics is just waste of time. No one will judge you on the basis of your slogans, debates, speech, you will be rated on the basis of what you have done for the society, development of this country. We need critics of the government not defiant oppositions.
