The Conditional Probability

Let A and B are two events, the probability of success of A provided that B has already occurred is denoted as-  P(A/B)

                                                      P(A/B)=n(A∩B)/n(B)

  • n(A∩B)=number of occurrences of A and B together.
  • n(B)=number of occurrences of B.

No, no, no. I am not going to elaborate about the mathematical conditional probability. Here, I am talking about the conditional probability which we often do in our life. Have you ever decided to do something provided that some other thing has happened before? Or have you planned to do something, only if you will do something else before? I guess, we all have done that. We all have put condition on our choices, in simplest term we can call this as similar to mathematical conditional probability.

Why we do like that? Why putting conditions on something we want to do, if we are willing to do it right now? Why is that detention? Perhaps, we wait for the right time to come. And what is that right time then? Right time could be when all the odds are in favour. Is it? Do we really aspire for perfect timing and perfect moment? People use to say that things will come to you at the right time, wait until then, have patience. Patience is key to success. What if you grew old and never got to do what you have planned for? What if your conditions were never met as you would have thought? What if when patience would become the synonym for a long unending sojourn? What to do then? Regret? Yes, only one thing left to do.
I have done a lot of conditional probability, every time I had put a prior condition to do something. Actually, I had lived on my own terms and conditions, many others would have done too. I had depended on the success of event B before going for the event A. But, neither I get success for event B nor I had done event A. Whose fault it was? Obviously, it was my fault, because I didn't strive much for the success of event B and so for the event A also. Well that's a lame excuse, totally rubbish, just a blame game.
We often presume that if we accomplish both the events then it will be more fun and it will totally worth it. But take this into consideration, without waiting for other event to get accomplished you opt for your longing event. This approach will give you more satiation than any other accomplishment.

I would like to suggest that just free yourself from ** Terms and conditions applied  notion. Don't overweigh yourself, let it loosened up. Do whatever you want to do, don't wait for the favourable condition to show up. Make the conditions propitious for yourself. Live your life fully. Welcome the things that come on the way, and enjoy it. Set your choices as an independent events, when occurrence of events will not depend on any other events.
